Just a pat on the back
I just wanted to say good job to the guys at Ballistic. Every bracket, tab, coil mount, etc. on my truck came from those guys. Great stuff at a great price. I wish I wasn't internet illeterate or i would link some pictures on here for you guys that have maybe never bought from them to see what you get for your money. Double thumbs up here, keep up the good work.

I will 2nd his comments ive ordered 3 or 4 different times for various rigs and quality has always been great and service top notch great guys too deal with and parts are always perfect and fit good, the new laser cutting is sweet no edges too grind or anything nice and smooth you can even run your finger over the edges and no sharp edges was amazing, have used your stuff on 3 different builds so far and plan too keep using your stuff and prices are great.
Its nice too be able too get on here and relay what were wanting and help with new ideas for products you guys can market. Thanks again for all the good stuff. Adam

I actually just ordered some more shock tabs today from Ballistic. $2.50 per set.....that's incredible, I won't light my torch for $2.50. Not to mention all the grinding and drilling i've done in the past to make my own parts. I can't stress it enough, ANYTHING you need no matter how simple these guys rock. Just for the hay of it I priced 11 different sites today and the cheapest I found for the exact same product was $4.50 a set. That's almost 200% higher!!! Keep up the good work and prices guys, I have a pretty rare rig (72 F250 Highboy) and everyone that looks at it or asks questions about it gets referred to you guys.

I haven't ordered anything from them yet, but I'm considering it. I've heard of the lead time issues, but that pales in comparison to their prices. I had a vendor on this board quote me a price on a set of D60 high steer arms. Even with the "board discount", the product was the same price as BF's on thier website. Now, while this seems great, cause they price match you know, take into consideration it included no mounting hardware (another 50 bucks) and the arms aren't drilled for anything. I'm not going to mention any names, but those Aussies are crazy thinking I'm paying for that.

I made my own springless d60 hi steer arms for my buggy a few years ago. I spent $80 on studs from deadenbear (plus shipping i think...not sure though), kingpin rebuild kit (i bought a full and just the nylon bushings are cheaper but still cost $20ish, i think), had to ask around for someone who had some pinion shims laying around so that took some time, drive 90 mi round trip to the shop a couple times to machine them when i was away at school, plus a lot of time on a bridgeport. I definitely didn't save any money if I factored in my time and hardly any even if you take the time aspect out and included material cost...I didn't save much. I enjoy making stuff but unless I had a huge surplus of time...this would be an easy decision.
That's an excellent price for that kit (60 hi steer arm kit with studs)! Last edited by beartj; 11-07-2009 at 09:57 AM. |
