I dont like the attachment points withough an additional support, alot of force being put onthe cab and bed mount bolts.

also, i think instead of the dimpled flat metal, how bout an option for some kind of expanded metal grating, would work well for guys who wanna use the step to scrape their boots off before hopping in their rig.

The flared part of the dimple is facing up which would allow that, and looks way more pimp than grate

To start, the running boards look great!

However, I just have a couple simple questions, why did you opt to use the 2x4 rectangular section? It seems as though another piece of tubing would have allowed you to similarly span the gap with your dimpled plate, and be a little cheaper and lighter. Second, how much deflection are you getting when you step on them?

Got another club cab in the shop today, a 2002. They go to powder coat in the morning to get done in red!!!
