Thumbs up

Just curious, since I'm looking to do the exact same type of three link to my 72 K5........Looking at the steering setup, it doesn't look like alot of room for the steering link. You are going to run an assisted steering right, not a full hydraulic? Love the 3 link brackets.....I'm in line with the rest.......I WANT SOME!!!!!Can't wait to see this thing finished.....Awsome build!!!!!!

torque loading. I know this is teh chevy section, but jeep's had this problem in showroom stock rear ends, alog with 12 bolt's in the late 60's erly 70's of spinning the cast center on the tubes.

with large tires, high horsepower, and low gearing it just amplifies the problem. so tying the cast diff into the tubes is a very solid insurance policy against that happening.

With having so many of you interested in this front suspension kit. And having a call this morning to discuss some more details. I took some more detailed photo's to show what is done, and what is included.

And a few shot's to show some more detail on the driver's side, along with how the steering box was turned in to make clearance for the giant 42in tires.

We had a short meeting here last night to discuss the cost of producing the bracket kit's to be sold. Give me until Tuesday to get a true cost and I will reply in this thread with it.

Can you tell me/us what rod/wire you guys used to weld to the diff. (sorry if you already posted the info)
Because I did what you said not to do, make the upper link (of a 3 link front) on the long tube with out anything to the casting. I would like to strenghten it (by welding to it) I'm afraid that I might spin the casting on the tubes. Thanks.

OK. as promised, even a day early we sat down over a few of our favorite beverages this weekend while taking a break from prepping the jeepspeed for a 4 in a row baja 1000 victory and came up with some numbers.

chassis, axle & panhard bracketry $375 with lower coilover mounts $425 that is unwelded. Part's all cleaned up and ready to weld. With the dimple die holes dimpled. All the part's are keyed together for ease of assembly.

we can also supply all the needed rod ends, aluminum links, and hardware for additional cost's. If anyone is intersted, i can work that entire package up also.

Just so I understand better, you have a Chevy passenger drop housing, and put the upper link on the drivers side?

Or did you just not tie the tower to the cast on the passengers side? As part of attaching this suspension to the stock GM housing, we included the 2 bolt holes in the cast for the factory leaf spring mount also.

Mig welded, .035 wire, pre heated and post heated. have not had a reported failure with this method to date.

Ya I ran the upper on the Driver side for a few reasons. Being that I have a bigger bigblock (496) I needed 2" x 3.5" headers (that I made). To make all that tubing, and the upper link fit along with a drive shaft is not going to happen. Not to mention that I have a clocked ORD adapter, so the drive shaft already comes out of the t-case very high. So in order to keep a low ride height (which I think I have) I had to run it on the pass side. Which in doing so lost my oil filter,(because of the exhaust and upper link being there) which is now mounted in front of the motor. Also my panhard bar goes from the pass side of the frame to the axle on the drivers side. It wasn't a big deal because I have full hydro steering (center mounted ram). But just thinking that it would be good to weld the housing to the tubes for strength.
But I have to ask how did the links not rub the tires? My lower links are about the same as yours on the frame end, and they go out to the end of the axle,(no welding to the casting) and rub a little with 3.5" BS 42's on 15". But your upper is on the out side of the frame. Is your axle any wider? What's your backspacing? Wheel spacers? Or do you guys just have the steering stops out a ways? Or?

How much would the rear suspension link mounts be? I don't need the truss.

I can definitely seeing your brackets being popular after word gets out

Very nice detail on your front suspension.
Nice to see a vendor paying our trucks some much needed attention.
Wish you had before I hack-fabbed my own 3 link front.

Front and Rear bracket kit's are $375ea and $425 with lower coilover mounts included.

Or, if you want a complete, no guess work, no questions asked kit $1475 per end. 2in aluminum lowers, 1.75in aluminum uppers, steel panhard for end user fitment.

The blazer will be getting 14in front 16in rear Fox 2.5in coilovers, with 4in travel 2.0 air bumps.

I got that part ....that is what they are using. I want to know if using longer coils or links, can anything larger be put on without screwing up the geometry.

Can you post some more details about the 3 link front.
Especially what it looks like on a calculator.

The upper link is outside the frame rail?
Roll steer?
What kind of A/S number? Looks like roll axis may be a little steep.

Thanks
